The winner of the CANDY!
Guess I really need to take everyone's suggestions and start managing my time! It's Tuesday already...did I say I'd pick a winner on Sunday?? Well, random.org picked my winner and the winner of the blog candy is ELLIE AUGUSTIN! Congrats Ellie! Email me with your mailing address and I will send out your goodies :) Thanks for such great advice! Here's what Ellie advised me:
"Well this is something I fight w/EVERYDAY.. BUT somehow I have started to do some more improving on this topic.. I actually bought myself the K&Company Planner, it is awesome as it is a perfect planner for a scrapper as it spots for idea you get through out the day and of course space to write down what you have to do..and I made a promise to myself to check it daily and and the end of the day I check to see that I did what I needed to do, if I didn't I put it for the next days stuff. I also got me a blackboard where I write everyday what I have to do.. and I have my kids doing what they have to do throughout the day (well my oldest when he gets home from school) I seem to never have enough time in the day BUT I have managed to start getting into a grove and its allowing me to do what I want and need to do..(Its not easy as it sounds not going to lie you have to keep at it) Hope anything I wrote helped in a small way. I know how hard it can be when you have SOOO much in front of you and yet you feel like you just don't want to do anything.. Like this moment I'm suppose to be finishing a project and what I doing.. Reading blogs! LOL.. BUT I just do this and then keep going! So I send you a lil push and hug and tell you.. YOU CAN DO IT!!! "

TIAF this weekend

The Toronto International Art Fair is this weekend, I'm showing some work with LE. Gallery in booth 922. The fair is at the Convention Centre and runs until Monday, if you are in the area you should check it out. I'm going to go take in some art on Sunday I think...
http://www.tiafair.com/
The Road of Knives with Zak Smith and Shawn Cheng is starting up again... I finished my page tonight, um.... go easy on me, I'm not fantastic at drawing comics. Thats an understatement, I actually suck at drawing comics, but theres only one way to improve I guess...
The link on the side of this page won't take you to the road anymore, we have revamped the old material, cut more than half of it out, and are rebuilding it in pieces... Once we have the new stuff compiled I'll toss a link to it...

Here are a couple of drawings...

If I take good photos on sunday I'll post them here.
Halloween Goodies
What in the world???!! Missing - Blog candy post
I guess being off the blog for a few days I was wondering why some of you emailed me to ask me how to get to my post for the blog candy. Well, here's what happened - I thought I'd add more "candy" to this post and pulled up the original post to edit...I had to log off cuz it was getting late and when I logged off I LEFT IT IN DRAFT MODE!!! Okay, we can all say it together now..."DUH!!" sorry, so lame huh. So now, I just posted some cards and when I checked the posts, and I was wondering what in the world happened to my post for blog candy and when I went into the posting, I saw that it still read draft. I'm so sorry!!
The original post and the ETA is now safely back in the posting area and you can still send some advice my way. I am going to be giving away a bunch of my Breast Cancer Awareness packs since I have a few left. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO PURCHASED THESE SETS TO SUPPORT THE CAUSE.

new studio new studio new studio
I'm pretty excited this week cause I got a new studio... Andrew and my buddy Daniel and I are sharing it, it's big and cheap and has a shower and kitchen...I've been working on it all week, getting the walls fixed and the floor painted and the kitchen operational, its a lot of work. Here are some shots of how the space looked when we got it:

When we are done fixing it up, hopefully it will be a lot less gross... The good news about the space is that it is right across the street from a meat packing plant, and no one wants to live across the street from a meat packing plant, so I doubt we'll get booted out so they can tear it down and build condos (which is why I'm leaving my old space). The bad news is that its across the street from a meat packing plant. It doesn't exactly smeel like meat and it doesn't exactly smell like shit, but it smells like something in between the two... Like someone shit his pants and died and was found 3 weeks later... But at least it won't get replaced with condos...

While I was working on my show this summer, I would occasionally see an albino squirell while biking home through the park at 6 am... I saw it the other day and stalked it to get a photograph...He's a sly little fucker, this is as close as I could get...

This week I also finished my work for the Toronto International Art Fair. I'm showing some black and while pen and ink stuff this year, here are some scans:

Man, I have to stop drawing birds... I think my next kick will be Botony...or Entomology... I haven't really decided yet...
What else what else. The Road of Knives is starting up again, Zak, Shawn and I are going to be working hard all year to finish the comic, and I believe we'll be releasing it next year at Fredericks and Freiser in NYC during Zak's solo show.... I'll post my pages as I draw them... I'm working on a page right now, well, making changes to an old page actually, we are re-vamping it a tad...

Going Pink in October!
ETA: Please be sure you email me at tsuzuki_2005@yahoo.com and provide me with your email address so I can communicate with you. I will provide my mailing address to you so you can send your donations. Then, I will need your mailing address so I can mail you the cards and ducky. BIG MAHALO (thank you) to those who have already started to support this worth cause! We can make a difference! Sidenote: Vicki - please email me, I have your order but don't know how to reach you since you didn't leave me your email address in your email to me :)
"PINK" is the theme on alot of the blogs this month. That's because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are going Pink!! Since my blog has always been pink (can you tell that it's my favorite color???) I had Jen add a pink badge to my sidebar. Let's show our support! Add a pink badge to your blog. I wanted to share this story, one of the many touching stories surfacing to the blog world. Check out Eliza's blog to hear her story. Eliza is a young mom who is fighting Breast Cancer right now. She is strength to so many women, including myself.
To show my personal support, I am stamping cards for donation. For only a $5 donation, I will send to you a set of three handstamped pink notecards and envelopes and a pink rubber ducky wearing the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon. Your donation checks should be made payable to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and mailed to me. Upon receiving your donation, I will mail to you the notecards, envelopes and ducky - the postage will be paid for by me. This offer is for the month of October or until I run out of duckys. I have only 36 of these sets so if you are interested, post a comment here with your email and I will get in touch with you! Thank you in advance for showing your support! At the end of the month, I will turn in all donations to the American Cancer Society and your name will be signed on the card with all of those donations. Last thing before I go, check out this page from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to see how your donations are spent. Thanks for peeking in today!
Birthday Card for my niece
Pretty card from Shannon!
I've been TAGGED twice!!
Wow! It's me, the weekend blogger - haha!! I only now saw that I've been tagged not once, but twice!! Once from Rhonda and now by Allison . Here's the details of this tag:
The NAME GAME. The name of the game is to list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life, for each letter of your middle name. If you don't have a middle name, use the name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your middle name and game facts. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged and to read your blog.
L - love to shop! what girl doesn't?? I've been getting better though :)
Y - yak, yak, yak...yeah, I love to talk!
N - not much sleep - I usually sleep 5 hours if I'm lucky
N - nice to everyone. Hmm, guess that's why I have a full plate!
Let's see, who's tagged?
Lori of Love to dream...skyz da limit
Jen of Piece of Me (okay, Jen doesn't start with the letter "Y", but her last name does "Young"...I was desperate!!!, don't know any bloggers that start with a "Y")
Nancy of I Stamp
Nancy of Inkcicles
Thanks for playing ladies!

Some facts about Breast Cancer
Good Sunday morning! Just saw this on Corie's blog and thought this was too good information not to pass on...take a moment to read, if we don't take care of ourselves, who will? Have a great Sunday! It's a beautiful sunny day in Hawaii!! ** Without a cure, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer - a devastating disease with physical, emotional, psychological and financial pain that can last a lifetime.
** Without a cure, an estimated 5 million Americans will be diagnosed with breast cancer - and more than 1 million could die - over the next 25 years.
** Without a cure, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer - and 10 million could die - over the next 25 years. A grassroots organization called Pink for October is encouraging everyone with a website to go pink for the month of October -- to raise awareness and encourage breast cancer education. We can and should help raise money for research. Over the past 25 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (now Susan G. Komen for the Cure) has contributed significantly to some major victories in the fight against breast cancer.
** More early detection - nearly 75 percent of women over 40 years old now receive regular mammograms, the single most effective tool for detecting breast cancer early (in 1982, less than 30 percent received a clinical exam).
** More hope - the five-year survival rate for breast cancer, when caught early before it spreads beyond the breast, is now 98 percent (compared to 74 percent in 1982).
** More research - the federal government now devotes more than $900 million each year to breast cancer research, treatment and prevention (compared to $30 million in 1982).
** More survivors - America's 2.3 million breast cancers survivors, the largest group of cancer survivors in the U.S., are a living testament to the power of society and science to save lives. But the fight against breast cancer isn't over until we've found a cure.
