Finally have a chance to post this cute RAK I received from my friend Joy. This is a cute dollar stamp she picked up from BF. Love it! This is a 3X3 card stamped in Chocolate chip. I used bashful blue and chocolate chip CS. Added a bling in the center of the flower. I liked how it turned out. So simple and fun! Thanks Joy!! Here's a close up view of the card front
I loved this set the moment I saw it! This set is called Nursery Bash from CTMH. One of my bosses asked me to make a baby's 1st birthday card and I was so excited to put some ink on this new set!
Here's an update on my kitty Mochiko - we call her chiko chan. Yup! she's still living in my workroom and loving all of the attention she's getting! So much for her moving outdoors after grandpa built her a catery outside in our garage. I tried putting her in there and she cried and cried. This cat knows how to tug at your heart! Most of the time, she's sleeping, or is that cat napping?? Her favorite place to sleep is right at your feet when I'm at the computer.
Last night, Nolan let her check out an old toy of his. This cute little alient blog iniside of this tube makes noise and plays a song when you hit the button. Chiko kept pressing the button to hear the sounds, too funny! She is sniffing the toy wondering what the heck is this??

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. I don't know why I love it so much. I finally found a small window of time to make my little Halloween treats to give away. The two tall goodie bags went to Chazz & Cyrus (Jen's boys) and the cute Halloween baskets went to my favorite bank tellers and staff over at Hawaii State FCU. These baskets are so easy and fun to make. I did have help from Crystal (our assistant coach) and Jan (our team mom) and boy, we whipped those babies out like nothing! Filled them with York Peppermint patties. Now these cool boxes were CASED from Cambria Turnbow. Her blog "Stamp a Little Love Baby" is totally awesome, so you gotta go check her out to really be inspired on some cool projects. 
I bought this neat hinged tin from Papertrey, Inc. This tin can hold 12 nuggets. I love this tin and the Papertrey products! Nichole Heady is so talented and everytime I visit the Papertrey site or her blog, I get so excited! I bought the stamp set to actually stamp on the mailing labels, but then I got lazy and I used my rollerwheel instead. Just peel and wrapped the labels around the nuggets candy, easy! I had an unopened 3 cell ink cartridge, so I filled it with old olive, pumpkin pie and chocolate chip ink refills. I figured I could use this color combo for Thanksgiving projects too. Love the SU Creepy Crawly designer paper that I used for the band on this tin. Stamp is Batty for You and of course used the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches as well as the circle scallop punch (pumpkin pie CS). Happy Halloween!
BIG sigh...Why is the time slipping away from me?? Yikes! Sorry to disappoint all of my readers out there (I love you guys!), but lately, I just can't get a grip on all that I need to do. Anyone out there with some time management suggestions?? I'll take any advice!! I know what my island buddies will be advising me, don't take on so may projects! I think it's just the extra stuff that I've been doing lately. (another BIG sigh...) Okay, okay, moving on...I was finally able to gather some fun candy to give away. Here's what's up for grabs: 1 pack of SU's ribbon originals - Seaside; 3 KI memories Color Lab vials - one with bling, one with felt shapes and one with colored clips (cute!!); one dozen punched giga scalloped circles (assorted colors); one dozen stamped Holiday greetings from Hero Arts clear stamp set called "Laughter and Merriment" - love the birdie on this!; 1 yard of turquoise grosgrain 1/4" ribbon, 1 yard of cranberry stitched ribbon, 1 yard of twill tape with the words happy holidays on it (from Making Memories) and 1 yard of red grosgrain ribbon 1/4". Whew!
Happy Aloha Friday! Here are two birthday cards I made for my aunt and uncle who celebrated birthdays. Dad got invited to the party at a new restaurant on the 4th floor at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Sorry, it's new, so I totally forgot the name of the place - something like Tajiki Fish Market. Anyway, I was invited too, but I let Nolan go in my place being that I have such a large appetite!haha! I was the driver and after I dropped them off, I went shopping! So funny how I was totally looking forward to going shopping by myself, to take my time and try on clothes and maybe to even buy some new stuff to wear to work, but can you actually believe that I hit all of the stores that I wanted to and didn't buy a thing?? Either the clothes selections were slim, or they were just too expensive. I hate it when I convince myself that I'm going to bite the bullet and pay a large sum of money for an article of clothing and then the following week or so, it goes on sale! Doesn't that bite?? I did find some nice bras at The Gap Body. That was a chunk of change too, but they were so nice and it's not like I buy bras every month ya know? Anyway, back to the cards! After I made these two cards, my dad thought he was to select one of the two so he gave mom only one of the cards for both aunty and uncle - can you guess which card dad chose?? He chose this flower card. When I created the cards, I created the one for uncle in more "guy" colors, don't you think? I like them both, but I guess dad was thinking that aunty would be the one to save the card. I'm sure that's why he selected the flower one.

If you scrap, not sure if any of you are like me. It has to be the "right time" for me to do a page. I keep the photo visible so I see it daily. Somehow, having the photo visible daily helps me to think up an idea. Got the title from Cheryl of Engineered Expressions who won blog candy from me for her title suggestion "Puddles & Puppy Dogs" that Alice chose. I loved the way it came out!
Here's the page in the frame. I really liked how it turned out. You can't tell from the photo, but I double stacked the dimensionals to give the puppy a higher lift.

My niece celebrated her 14th birthday this past week. Here's a card I made for her to celebrate this special occasion. I used the cuttlebug emboss circles folder on Bashful Blue. Old olive framed the stamped image. This stamp is by Whipper Snapper and is called King Cat. I used my watercolor pencils and blender pens. I took a close up shot of the crown so you can see the blue rhinestones I put on his crown. Finished it off with a corner punch out of Brilliant Blue cardstock and attached silver mini brads. What a surprise I got in my mailbox the other day. This beautiful card was made by Shannon McGann. I met her through Corie. Love the card and that polished stone technique she used, so soft and pretty!! Not only the great card, but a few goodies to boot! Thanks Shannon! Now that the tag class is over, I'll be posting the rest of the tags slowly. This tag design was adapted from the SU Fall Winter Collection with a few personal modifications to it. Instead of tying a knot using a skinny strip of paper, I used the red gingham ribbon. Such cute tag, but not recommended if you're going to cut for hundreds of them! Didn't realize all of those tiny pieces to cut. After Wini started cutting the pieces for this tag, she told me, uh, you cut the rest. I don't blame her! Yikes!! This was such a grueling task but we were already at the point of no return.
I know I already posted a picture of the front of the cute folder to hold 10 tags, but here's a shot of the folder opened up with ten tags inside. This folder used one piece of 8 1/2 X 11 paper (here, used real red) score 2 1/2" horizontally and then score vertically 5 1/4" and again at 5 3/4" to make a gusset. Used 30" of old olive grosgrain ribbon to wrap around the folder and finally tying a bow in the front. Here's the front cover again. The alphabets are well-worn alphabets stamped in real red and old olive. Thanks for peeking in today! More tags revealed in days to come.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I just love the orange, black with a dash of green & purple color combo! I made this card to send over to Jen to thank her for all that she does for me! This was also an excuse to use my new Quickutz Spider and Bat 4" die that I just got from Fisher Hawaii (sale going on)...I love this spider!! After I cut the spider out, I used the SU circle 1" punch to cut out a white circle to glue to the back of the spider so you could see the eyes and teeth. I also send Jen a "surprise" ..hint...it's something to create more Halloween stuff! Shhh...I'm sure she'll be posting her surprise sooner or later! Back to the card! I used the CB emboss folder called mesh for the 
background (black) - you can see the details on the close up shot I took. Also used SU Creepy Crawly DS paper - don't you just love that paper?? These are double sided papers! I also used QK letters (Katie) to cut out the BOO! and the ribbon is from American Crafts (got this ribbon for my bday from Jen & Wini). Can't wait to make more Halloween goodies!!
