A Simple Birthday

I know I'm not the only one with busy weekends, but sometimes there's much more to do and I feel that I don't even make a dent in my "to do" list, know what I mean?? Well, I wanted to share with you some photos from my birthday. Nolan took this pic of me when we came home from dinner on Friday night. We didn't feel like going to a fancy restaurant, so we headed over to Ala Moana Shopping Center and decided to eat bentos at Shirokiya. The food was yummy and we made sure we saved room for dessert! I love sweets and my family knows it. They surprised me with an ice cream cake from Baskin & Robbins. Did anyone notice the huge price hike on ice cream cakes?? Holy smokes! Well, I guess this was a special occasion huh (wink, wink!!)Wanted to share some of my birthday cards that I received in the mail. Thank you ladies for making me feel extra special!! I love all of my cards!

From Joy. This is a cute shaker box card...love the shaking glitter!

From Irene. I just loved how Irene used her white gel pen to add to the scallops of the card, clever!!

From Charlene. Charlene sent me this BRAK through Jen's birthday rak club...Thank you! I just love the colors!!

From Eunice. Eunice had a class teaching them this cute peek-a-boo card. The puppy was cut out using her cricut machine. Super cute!

Thank you ladies!! You all put a smile on my face and made my birthday a memorable one. Thanks to Jen who posted that I was "21"...I wish!! Actually, if I could pick an age, I would take maybe 37 or even 39...somehow, I don't feel 48...I told my son, that every year now, I'm counting backwards...haha!!
