I hope you are all enjoying a fun filled family day today! I'm so happy that I actually didn't have any event to go to and can finally have time to myself on the computer to visit blogs!! Yes, I'm finally gonna hop to all of the blogs to be inspired and leave comments. With all of the things I've been committing myself to, there hasn't been any time to blog visit - boo hoo hoo!!! Here are the treats I made for my friends over at the Hawaii State FCU for Easter. Please excuse the blurry photo! With all of my rushing, I didn't take pics before I dashed out to leave for work, so I attempted to take a pic with my phone. Such an amateur! Better than nothing, right?? I made 13 of these cute little treat boxes using the SU sizzix scallop envelope die following the tutorial on
Cheryl's blog. My dad cut them all out for me so all I had to do was decorate and put them together. Of course, I had to pack some sweet treats in them too!

The cute stamped bunnies are from the Lucky Bunny stamp set from The Greetings Farm (formerly Pink Poison). Colored with my copic pens and punched the circles using my marvy punches. Here's a view of the back of the box. I bought these cute tiny stamps from J's . I think they are Hero Arts stamps. Of course the sentiment is a Dandelion Designs stamp, so cute!

Now for my sad story. I guess you can say that need some hugs on this one. I really try to be careful but sometimes, for whatever reason, things happen. I had Friday off from work in celebration of Good Friday. I spent a day crafting with friends and then had to go to Ba Chan's house to take her dinner (we do that every Friday). I also had to get some food for my kitty, Mochiko, so thought I'd head over to Sam's Club since they have the best price for the catfood. Anyway, a big idea popped into my head while I drove into the parking of Sams...I'll check out Walmart first. I bought some beads and some orange peeps (Nolan loves peeps) and some plastic bags...as I left the store, I was thinking that I could shove the stuff into my tiny purse, but, ah!, I'll just take it to the car. Sooo, going to the car, I took the escalator up and the strangest thing happened! The escalator jerked and I fell forward! It happened so fast, I really don't remember those little details. All I know is that I got up quick for fear of being gobbled up by the moving escalator!! Then, I felt the pain. I got off the escalator and sat on the side by the railing. Now that I think about it, it grosses me out because it is sooooo dirty! But I was in so much pain, I couldn't walk. I also thought about telling security or someone, but not a soul was in sight! Can you believe that?? It was a good thing I was wearing long jeans that day. I could imagine my wounds to be worse. My wounds include gouges from the escalator teeth on my left leg shin (ouch! right on the bone!) and gouges on my right foot, right above my ankle sock level. This one was really deep and gross because those teeth sunk in on my bare skin! I made it to my car and finished dropping off dinner and drove home in pain. Every push to the gas pedal came with pain, but I had to! There was no one to drive me home!! We cleaned up the wounds with hydrogen peroxide (ouch, ouch, ouch!!!!) and I've been icing the area because I have some lumps and bruises. I haven't been feeling crafty because it's hard for me to stand up to craft (like I usually do). I'm also having some upper back pain I think from getting up quick (I think). **Sigh** Sorry for my long drama story. I just had to share. Okay, thanks for listening. I should be back to my normal crafting soon!
Oh! BTW, I am still working on that Part 2 of the shaker box tutorial. I really want to write it in a way that is not so complicated!!! Thanks for your patience. There really is a part 2!!
