On a happier note, I was able to make a card for a friend who celebrates his birthday today. He loves to surf, so I decided to use my Extreme Surfer stamp. I wanted to give this card some water effect, so decided to try a shaker card using a nestie as my window. Can you believe that this is the first time I'm making a shaker card like this?? My GF, Joy, who is the shaker Queen, makes these shakers all the time. I don't know why I never tried it, it wasn't too hard to make. I used some clear beads from the SU bead duo set and also some blue glitter. Other supplies used: the sentiment, Celebrate, from my favorite sentiment set, Fundamental Phrases, black gingham ribbon, scallop oval and large ovals.
Here's the inside of the card. The sentiment, Life's to Short, came from a retired SU set and the other sentiment is a non-SU stamp...the circles came from the Circle Circus set.
Time to get some rest so I can be well to go back to work next week. I hear that my desk is piled a mile high. Yikes! Well, at least there's some job security for me, right?! Have a great weekend and thanks for looking at my card today!
