DALMATIA RESIDENCY FUNDRAISER

On Thursday I will be taking part in a fundraiser for an artist residency in Croatia that Andrew and I will be attending later on this summer... I'll be donating a big screenprint and maybe some smaller lithos, and Andrew will be donating a pen and ink drawing. the work will be sold via silent auction...

Here is the email that my friend Srdjan (the co-ordinator of the residency) sent out regarding the fundraiser...



Dear friends,

I would like to invite you to attend ART RESIDENCY:
Dalmatia - a silent auction exhibition and fundraiser in
support of the inaugural artist residency I am co-ordinating
in Croatia this summer.

The evening will take place at Headbones Gallery on
Thursday, April 23, from 6-9 pm, with artwork at affordable
prices, Balkan food and music, and information presented
about the residency.

I hereby thank my artist colleagues and friends who have
been donating their work and time in support of this fundraiser. I look forward to seeing you.

Sweet card from Tia

Ooh, a double posting for today! I've been so busy lately, that I just can't keep up with myself! haha! I always take photos and edit them, then forget to post them. So if you've sent me a rak and I haven't posted them yet, don't worry, it's coming!! The day before Easter, I received this precious card from my friend Tia! So much details and work went into this, I love it!!

Here's the inside. Does it look familiar?? This was one of the cards we made for my April class except Tia reversed the way the envelope opened up. Clever! Tia, I just love my card! Thank you so much for thinking of me, it was such a great pick me upper card, especially I received it one day after my fight with the escalator! BTW, in case you want to know, my wounds are healing nicely, except there's still a bump under the worse wound...hopefully it's just a bone bruise and will go away soon!

Also, before I forget, Thank you to Linda and Jodi who gave me this award. You guys are so thoughtful!! I always forget to post these awards, so if you've given me an award and I haven't posted them, please accept my apologies, I'm not being ungrateful or anything like that, there's just too much to rememer. I really do appreciate them and all of YOU!
