For this card, I challenged myself to use colors that I normally don't use. Since I love pumpkin pie (I really do love to eat pumpkin pie too!) I decided to start with this color and although I love this color, I don't usually choose this color when I'm deciding on a card. Anyway, so this got me thinking, what colors go with pumpkin pie?? I decided to use Kraft cardstock for the base of this card which is a good neutral color that goes well with the pumpkin pie. I wanted to use my new pumpkin pie striped 1/2" grosgrain ribbon too and going back to the Boho kick I was on, I used Boho Backgrounds to stamp the BG on the pumpkin pie CS. Then I stamped the circle stamp in chocolate chip. This image is also from the Boho Backgrounds set. I punched that image out using the 1 3/8" circle punch and layered it on the scallop circle punch (old olive). I thought I was ready to assemble. I realized that something was missing so I asked Nolan what he thought and he said, "mom, you have to add another color to this because all of the colors are blending; try brown." Ta-da! Here's what I came up with and I liked it! Smart boy. I wonder where he gets his artistic color coordinating from?? haha! I used the marvy super jumbo circle punch using chocolate chip CS. The last strip of paper came from the Boho Blend scrapbook kit. One last thing...I added the words Wonderful Friend to the front of the card using part of a stamp from the Boho Backgrounds set. Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Wednesday!!
