We made Cute Stuff!

Happy Wednesday! Well, I went to Circuit Court yesterday afternoon and sat through the orientation. Then we waited, and waited and waited. The good news is that our trial was settled so we all didn't need to go through jury selection! I was relieved that we were released to go home, but I went back to work. The best news was that during that long wait, I was able to read my book and take a nap! I was so exhausted that my body welcomed the little snooze I snuck in! I guess there was a purpose for me to go to this jury selection - somebody knew I needed a break!! haha!

Well, this past weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) I did some classes at Cute Stuff in Puck's Alley. Here are the cards we made. The first one is a Peek-a-Boo card. I featured the cute dude and hula penguins. Don't you just love cards with movement? Here is the front of the card. I used stickles on the hula girl to make her "sparkle". If you never saw a peek-a-boo card before, when you open up the card, see the image change. The dude penguin changes from no color to color, just like magic! By the way, I learned how to make this really cute card through Dawn's video tutorial. Dawn is a genius and I just love her creations and watching her video tutorials is like attending cardmaking school. Did I tell you already that she was my idol? Love ya, Dawn! Check out her fab blog HERE.

Here's the card when opened.

Recipe for the peek-a-boo card:

*Dude and Hula girl penguin stamps by Imaginisce, Special Friend - Hero Arts clear stamp, You're Fun stamp by Penny Black.
*Pumpkin pie, taken with teal and sahara sand markers.
*DP by Scenic Route, leaf green, teal, orange and olive cardstock.
*Marvy giga and super jumbo scallop circle punch, mega circle punch, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches
*White jellyroll pen, stickles

We also made a waterfall card. I love waterfall cards! I made the card wider than the standard card size because I wanted to accommodate the Changito images because some of the images were a little larger. Here is the front of the card.

The rest of the photos show the different images as the card opens.

All of these images came from a collection of Changito stamps. There are 2 sets out - had to get them both!!
Recipe for the waterfall card:
*Changito clear stamps
*Zoo Fun Dot/Blue DP by Pebbles, light blue, brown, orange and olive cardstock.
*White jellyroll pen, photo hangers by CTMH, olive and blue ribbon.
*Giga scallop circle punch, E37 Sepia and E55 Light Camel copic markers, So saffron, creamy caramel, bashful blue, sahara sand markers. Lime green eyelets, crop-a-dile, sponge.

We had a great time creating these cards. I made some new friends! Thank you ladies for attending my class! Of course, after the class, I had to check out what was new and then treated myself to some new stamps and other stuff...in fact, I'm planning on embellishing my next flip album with the Mindy's Zoo clear stamps by Autumn Leaves that I bought! I'll post it when I'm done. Thank you, Lianne, for hosting my class! I had fun :)
